Frequently Asked Questions

How do I play?

Drag your finger and the cloud follows, a little above it so you can see what it is doing. Rest over a thirsty plant and it rains. Fill up at the lake when the tank runs low, and keep the rain away from things that should stay dry, like the laundry. A day lasts a little over a minute.

How is my progress saved?

Automatically, on your device: when a day ends, when you build something, and whenever you leave the game. You do not need an account. If you have device backups turned on, your progress is part of the backup on an iPhone or iPad, and may be part of your Google backup on Android. Deleting the game from your device deletes your progress.

Can I play offline?

Yes. Everything works without a connection except the ads and purchases, so bonuses that come from watching an ad are not offered while you are offline.

How do the cats arrive?

Each of the thirty cats comes for a reason of its own: something you built, grew or did on the island. Open Cats in the village to see the album. A cat that has not arrived yet shows a hint, except for a few that are a secret. The first one moves in at the end of your third day. Cats are never sold.

The days are too hard for me. Can I slow things down?

Yes. Turn on Relaxed day in Settings: plants get thirsty more slowly, and the rewards at the end of a day are a little lower. You can switch it off whenever you like.

Can I make the text larger or change the language?

Both are in Settings. Large text enlarges the notes, hints and descriptions. Language switches between English, Romanian, Spanish, German, French and Portuguese.

When will I see ads, and what are my choices?

There are no ads during your first three days. After that, rewarded ads are always your choice, and a short ad may appear between two days. If you live in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you can review your consent under Settings > Privacy choices. The Privacy Policy explains what the ads use.

How do I restore my purchases?

Open Settings and tap Restore purchases. The same button is at the bottom of the Shop, which appears in the village on day 5. It asks the store of your device again, and brings back what you bought once (Remove Ads, the Starter Pack, the decor sets), the season pass of the season that is running, and an active VIP, which also comes back by itself when you open the game with the same Apple Account. On Android, what you bought for good comes back by itself when the game starts on a phone signed in to the same Google account, and Restore purchases asks Google Play again. Rainbow packs are not restored. Purchases stay with the store they were made in: they do not move between the App Store and Google Play.

How do I cancel VIP?

On an iPhone or iPad: open the Shop and tap Manage subscription on the VIP card. It opens the App Store's subscription page, where you can cancel. You can also get there in the iOS Settings app: tap your name, then Subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends, so that VIP does not renew. On Android: open the Google Play Store app, tap your profile picture, then Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions, and cancel VIP there; play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions is the same page in a browser. Cancel before the renewal date shown there. On both, VIP stays active until the end of the period you have paid for, and deleting the game does not cancel the subscription.

How do I ask for a refund?

On an iPhone or iPad, purchases are made through Apple's App Store, so a refund is Apple's to grant. We cannot issue one ourselves. Sign in at reportaproblem.apple.com with your Apple Account and choose Request a refund. On Android, purchases are made through Google Play, and that is where you ask: Google Play's refund help has the steps, for the Google account you bought with.

I paid, but what I bought did not arrive. What now?

Close the game and open it again. A purchase that was paid for but did not arrive, for example because the game was closed or a parent approved it later, is handed over the next time the game opens. Nothing is charged twice. If it still has not arrived, write to us at the address above.

What is the season pass?

A season lasts 42 days and shows in the village from day 8 of the game. The season pass belongs to one season: you can buy it once per season, and it is valid for the season that is running when you buy it, until that season ends. It does not renew by itself and does not carry over to the next season.

Does the game use Game Center or Play Games?

Yes, if you want it to: Game Center on an iPhone or iPad, Google Play Games on Android. On an iPhone or iPad, the game's achievements are Game Center achievements too, and there are three leaderboards: stars collected, perfect days and the longest combo. To turn it on, tap the rainbow counter in the village and then Game Center, or open Settings and tap Game Center. The game does not contact Game Center before you do that. Once it is on, the game recognises you again each time it starts, and if you have signed out of Game Center since, Apple's sign-in sheet may appear then. If you are not signed in to Game Center on your device, Apple's sign-in sheet appears when you tap the button; if you close it, you can sign in later from the Settings app of your device, under Game Center. Once you have used it, the game keeps your achievements and scores up to date by itself. A reset of your progress does not take away achievements that Game Center has already recorded.

On Android, Play Games stands where Game Center does: the same achievements and the same three leaderboards, behind a button called Play Games. The game does not contact Play Games before you tap that button, and a sign-in screen that appears then is Google's own. Once you have signed in that way, the game recognises you again each time it starts; if you are no longer signed in to Play Games then, Google's own sign-in screen may appear once, and after that the game waits for you to tap the button again. The game reads nothing about you from Play Games, neither your name nor your friends; it only learns whether somebody is signed in. As with Game Center, a reset of your progress does not take away what Play Games has already recorded.

How do I start over?

Open Settings, tap Reset progress, then tap it again to confirm. This erases your island on this device and cannot be undone.

What should I include in a bug report?

Your device model (for example, iPhone 15 or Pixel 8), your iOS or Android version, the day of the game you were playing, and a short description of what happened right before the problem. A screenshot helps a lot.
